The Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale-7 (GAD-7) is fast becoming a gold-standard measurement tool for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Treatment guidelines around the world recommend use of measurement-based care. However, a shortcoming in our field is the lack of in-depth knowledge about what this instrument is, how to interpret scores, and how to utilize the GAD-7 in everyday clinical practice.
