TRANSCRIPT
Hi there, I'm Kim Orleck, a physician assistant with Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, a partner practice of United Digestive. I'm super excited to cochair AIBD NPPA Institute again this year with my friend and colleague Marita Kametas.
I'll be presenting this year on mild Crohn's disease. I'm going to focus on how we should define mild Crohn's disease, including the challenges we currently have to deal with when diagnosing a patient with mild Crohn's.
We'll discuss how we specifically want to risk stratify each patient that we think about as having mild Crohn's and how we want to think about their possible risk of disease progression, knowing that unfortunately the majority of these patients will progress. We will discuss how we apply a treat-to-target approach specifically to patients with mild Crohn's, as well as we'll review the current guidelines for treating mild Crohn's, and we'll also talk about proactive monitoring, both in the acute and long-term phase.
I really hope to see you for either APP and PPA Live on October 17th and 18th, or virtually on November 12th and 13th. Thank you.
