Paradigm Adds Adolescent Treatment Center in California
Paradigm Treatment has opened a new facility this month in San Rafael, California. The new program will serve adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17, joining Paradigm’s portfolio of 7 locations in Malibu and San Rafael that serve patients between the ages of 12 and 26 who have mental health issues.
The new center has a 6-bed capacity and will treat mental health conditions that include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and co-occurring substance use. Treatment includes 5-6 individual therapy sessions per week and incorporates work with patients’ families.
“As a result of the pandemic, we are seeing more and more teens and young adults suffering from depression, anxiety and other mental disorders. In fact, during this time, distressed teens and young adults’ symptoms are too often going unnoticed or unaddressed,” Paradigm CEO Paul Auchterlonie said in a news release. “Untreated mental health issues are creating a new pandemic as disproportionate fears potentially isolate young people from the support and treatment they need.”
