Seven-Month Antibiotic Shortage Finally Ends

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that the seven-month shortage of meropenem for injection has been resolved.
In August 2015, the FDA announced the shortage. In February, Fresenius Kabi and Hospira reported that they had presentations of the medication available.
Now, the following presentations are back online:

- 1 gm/30mL (NDC 0310-0321-30)
B. Braun Medical
- 500 mg Meropenem 50 mL (NDC 0264-3183-11)
- 1 gram Meropenem 50 mL (NDC 0264-3185-11)
Fresenius Kabi
- 500 mg SDV (NDC 63323-507-20)
- 1 g SDV (NDC 63323-508-30)
Hospira
- 500 mg Single Dose Glass Fliptop Vial (NDC 0409-3505-01)
- 1g Single Dose Glass Fliptop Vial (NDC 0409-3506-01)
