The 2015 Information Technology Vendor Survey

What’s new in the annual Behavioral Healthcare IT Vendor Survey this year is the identification of which products offer the new ASAM Criteria tool interface, which launched in January. The interface is not just a electronic version of the book text, but rather, it’s an interactive program that leads counselors and their patients through data inputs to arrive at level of care recommendations. You’ll see a column in the download below noting the feature separately for the individual organizations that offer the tool.

Also in the full download, you’ll see tech providers’ latest developments set to launch in the near future. There are some impressive expansion plans and innovative ideas.

It seems that technology capabilities are a continuing priority for treatment centers, and solution providers have responded to the market’s needs. EHR vendors in the behavioral space also are showing evidence of consolidation, which is helping them add new features and integrative functions that will lay more groundwork for healthcare’s rapidly changing landscape.

Integration will include site-to-site data sharing across one treatment center network, but also will include an emerging hub-and-spoke model to connect with the greater healthcare community, such as primary care and acute-care hospitals. More comprehensive data will drive improved care for patients and potentially—as more value-based payment models take hold—an improved bottom line for top-quality behavioral health providers.

In all, 65 information technology vendors responded to the survey. You can download the full database below for free, which includes detailed information about our survey respondents, their products and their plans for the future.
