Talon Compounding Pharmacy Launches Hormone Recalls
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Talon Compounding Pharmacy’s recalls of human chorionic gonadotropin injection, sermorelin, 6 mg, and sermorelin 6 mg/GHRP-2 injection, 12 mg.
Approximately 6,500 vials of human chorionic gonadotropin injection were recalled. The lot numbers are too numerous to list, but they can be found in the FDA’s Enforcement Report.

The sermorelin recall involved 500 vials. Those lot numbers were also too numerous to list.
What prompted the nationwide Class II recalls? The FDA noted that the recalls were prompted by lack of assurance of sterility.
These recalls come on the heels of an earlier recall the company launched in July of lyophilized HCG and sermorelin where all lots within expiry were recalled for the same reason.
