AMR Air Ambulance Hires New General Manager

Englewood, Colo. (Nov. 24, 2014) – AMR Air Ambulance has named emergency medical services executive John Paladino its next general manager. A veteran flight paramedic and business development leader, Paladino spent the past six years designing and managing air ambulance programs in the Middle East.

Paladino replaces AMR Air Ambulance’s longtime leader, Tom Cox, who is retiring at the end of this year after more than a decade as business development director and, later, general manager.

Paladino, who will be based at AMR Air Ambulance Headquarters in Englewood, Colo., plans to leverage his knowledge and overseas contacts to help AMR Air Ambulance expand its international footprint. “The domestic market is huge for AMR Air Ambulance. It is the backbone of our organization, but the healthcare market is becoming global,” said Paladino. “Growing internationally offers AMR Air Ambulance’s established clients additional services provided by a partner they trust.”

A Texas native, Paladino began his emergency medical services career in his hometown of Austin. In 2008, he accepted a position as a flight paramedic and senior clinical supervisor for Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar. John later relocated to Saudi Arabia to establish air medical bases and develop additional medical aviation resources and assets.

Paladino holds a bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety from Columbia Southern University and master’s level studies in leadership and disaster management through Grand Canyon University.
