Acadian Ambulance Acquires Bay Star EMS
Acadian Ambulance Service of Texas, LLC, has acquired Bay Star EMS in Baytown.
Acadian, owned by its employees through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, has extended conditional job offers to the members of Bay Star’s team.
“This acquisition will build on the very strong foundation that Acadian has established in Houston,” Regional Vice President Michael Burney said. “We look forward to the Bay Star employees joining our team and to expanding our service area.”
Acadian, founded in 1971, expanded to Texas in 2006 and now serves millions of Texans in 37 counties and the Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin and Beaumont metro areas. The company is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services, one of eight services in the state to hold the designation.
