Ken Simpson Joins Tex. MedStar as Chief Operations Officer

April 28, 2017–Fort Worth, TX. MedStar Mobile Healthcare is pleased to announce that Ken Simpson has joined the MedStar executive team as Chief Operations Officer. In this role, Ken will be responsible for field and communications center operations, support services, business intelligence, information technology and risk and safety.

Ken was selected after a national search resulting in of over 60 applicants and joins MedStar from the Georgia operations of American Medical Response, where he was responsible for high performance ambulance service operations for 20 communities in the Metro Atlanta area. Ken has an extensive background in EMS, having started his career as an EMT in South Carolina while a student at Clemson University. In addition to his experience in EMS, Ken also has a legal background, having earned a law degree from the University of Memphis in Tennessee.

Ken is married and the father of two little girls, Charlotte and Samantha. When not working, Ken enjoys spending time with his family and bicycling.
