ARLINGTON, VA—This July, EMS professionals, families, friends and colleagues will come together to remember and honor 37 EMS and air medical professionals who gave their lives in service to others and to show their families that their sacrifice has not been forgotten.

The National EMS Memorial Service and the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride will hold the 2026 National EMS Weekend of Honor on July 17–19 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National Airport, 2799 Richmond Highway, Arlington, VA. The three-day event will pay tribute to the fallen EMS and air medical professionals from 18 states across the country.

Two events are open to the public and media. All are invited to attend and show their support for the honorees and their families left behind.

A formal ceremony will honor all fallen EMS and air medical professionals on the evening of July 18. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person. A link to the livestream will be posted to the National EMS Memorial Service website and Facebook page once finalized.

Therapy and comfort dogs, as well as grief support teams from volunteer organizations, will be on site throughout the weekend to support families and attendees.

“EMS professionals serve every community in this country, often without recognition, and some make the ultimate sacrifice. Behind every name we honor is a family whose loved one never came home. This weekend is our opportunity, as an industry and as a nation, to stand together, honor those we’ve lost and remind their families that the EMS community will always remember. We will keep showing up, year after year, to make sure their sacrifices are always remembered,” said Scott Davis, president of the National EMS Memorial Service.

The National EMS Weekend of Honor is organized and hosted entirely by volunteer-staffed teams from the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride and the National EMS Memorial Service.
