The U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted Omega Medical Imaging clearance through the 510(k) process to offer their Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered Region of Interest (ROI) radiation exposure reduction solution for interventional x-ray imaging on their flat-panel detector CS-series product lines.

FluoroShield™ combines the power of AI, an ultra-fast collimator, and the world's most advanced image processing to deliver a Region of Interest solution that has shown to reduce radiation exposure up to ~84%, seamlessly helping interventional clinicians better reach their ALARA goals.
