Re: Cath Lab Crisis Playbook: A Brief Discussion of What to Do First, Who to Call, and How to Communicate Under Pressure

Hi Mort!

Great work on the “Cath Lab Crisis Playbook” article.

Two thoughts:

The number four recommendation for coronary perforation may be controversial. I know many operators who strongly advise against reversing heparin — even with a coronary perforation — due to concern about thrombosing whatever equipment is still in the coronary.

Manos [Brilakis] does a great job on his videos. There is also a series of videos on YouTube by Chao-Wei Hwang that are outstanding and incredibly well done. I would say they are a must-view for every interventional fellow — and even an experienced interventionist will learn something!

Thanks as always for all you’re doing for CLD and for those of us still learning from you!
