This hands-on review course is being sponsored by Community Medical Center and Northwest MedStar. It was developed by Peds-R-Us Medical Education founder and pediatric nurse expert Scott DeBoer to help reinforce the essentials of pediatric emergency care. During the morning sessions of this course, attendees will be a part of a highly interactive pediatric medical and traumatic emergencies review with breaks that include the opportunity to work with human umbilical cords, pig bones, fetal pigs, and more! After lunch, they will get a chance to work with harvested pig hearts, lungs and tracheas. The hands-on portions of the class will enable students to better understand pediatric emergency/critical care anatomy and procedures.
