Falck Unveils 1-Ton LEGO® Ambulance
Falck will unveil the ambulance, which is built out of 255,750 LEGO® pieces, at LEGOLAND® in Billund, Denmark. The ambulance weighs 1 ton and took more than 1,000 hours to build.
Although it is only half the size of a real ambulance, it will not be just for show.
"It is an educational tool that we intend to use at future exhibitions and conferences to show people the functions and contents of a modern ambulance," said Allan Søgaard Larsen, President & CEO of Falck.
Although it will not be operating on the roads, the LEGO® ambulance will still have lights, blue flashing beacons and a siren just like a real ambulance.
"I am sure this special ambulance will be popular wherever it is exhibited going forward–be it in Denmark or abroad," said Allan Søgaard Larsen.
