Mission and Focus
The Journal of Critical Limb Ischemia (JCLI), the official publication of the CLI Global Society, is dedicated to improving quality of life by preventing amputations and death related to CLI and severe peripheral artery disease (PAD). This quarterly publication is the only peer-reviewed journal that provides an international forum for the presentation of original research, randomized trials, large registry studies, and recent reports related to the diagnostic, therapeutic, and pathophysiologic aspects of CLI and severe PAD. Manuscripts are reviewed by multidisciplinary experts from various specialty backgrounds who understand the complex nature of CLI and substantially influence the clinical practice of treating the comorbidities associated with advanced PAD and CLI.
JCLI serves a multidisciplinary readership of interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, noninvasive cardiologists, vascular medicine specialists, epidemiologists, podiatrists, wound care specialists, researchers in industry or academia (PhDs), health care administrators, public health advocates, and fellows/residents/medical students providing the clinical content needed to better understand and manage the complex nature of CLI and severe PAD, improve patients’ quality of life, and prevent amputations and death.
