Demers Ambulances to Honor EMS Professionals During Paramedic Services Week and National Ems Week, May 18-24, 2025

Beloeil, Quebec and Van Wert, OH—Demers Ambulances, an ambulance manufacturer renowned for its intentional designs and thought leadership, is thrilled to announce its upcoming participation in Paramedic Services Week in Canada and National EMS Week in the United States. Both events will be observed from May 18 to 24, 2025.

This year, Paramedic Services Week and National EMS Week will share a unified overarching theme, "We Care. For Everyone." The theme highlights the multifaceted roles of EMS professionals in an evolving environment, from community paramedicine to preventive healthcare. Furthermore, aligning with the week's theme, each day will have a topic of focus: Health, Wellness, and Resilience on Sunday; EMS Education on Monday; EMS Safety on Tuesday; EMS for Children on Wednesday; Save-A-Life on Thursday; EMS Recognition on Friday; and EMS Remembrance on Saturday.

Scott Sawatsky, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Demers Ambulances, expressed the company’s appreciation, stating, "The theme of this year's events, 'We Care. For Everyone,’ serves as a powerful reminder of the indispensable role prehospital emergency services play in our communities, domestically and internationally. As a proud Canadian manufacturer, we recognize the essential contributions of paramedics and fleet managers, whether they support large urban operations or smaller rural services. The alignment of Paramedic Services Week and National EMS Week underscores our shared commitment to acknowledging and celebrating these critical services."

"At Demers, we are excited to celebrate National EMS Week, honoring EMS professionals nationwide alongside their communities. These frontline heroes make an incredible daily impact, often working in high-pressure situations where every second counts. We're proud to support them by designing ambulances with their needs in mind, focusing on intentional design, innovation, and ergonomics to help them perform at their best. We aim to create vehicles that enhance their comfort, efficiency, and ability to save lives, no matter the challenge. We look forward to bringing awareness to their profession and selecting a winner for our giveaway," said Rob Eichorst, Commercial Vice President – U.S.

In Canada, Demers will host a photo contest for all paramedic services whereby participants can submit photos in four categories – vehicle, team, action scene, and/or a history submission featuring a Demers ambulance from years past. The manufacturer is celebrating its 65th anniversary, and the last category was established to honor its ever-evolving legacy of innovation in the industry. One winner for each category will receive a $350 CAD gift card. Photo submissions should be uploaded to the online form. Submissions will be accepted May 18 through midnight on May 25, 2025.

Meanwhile, in the United States, organizations will have a chance to win lunch on Demers ($250 USD value). This giveaway honors EMS professionals' special relationship with each other by providing a crew meal to be shared. Entries will be accepted from May 18 to 24, 2025. One lucky department will be chosen on Monday, May 26, 2025, and announced as the winner. Those interested in entering should follow Demers on Facebook for details on how to enter.
