We are pleased to announce an exciting change — Skin & Aging is changing its name to The Dermatologist beginning with the March 2012 issue. The new name will be debuted during the 70th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology in San Diego.
Through the years, we’ve strived to continue to meet the needs of our readers with editorial features that focus on everything from medical and cosmetic dermatology to important practice management issues that affect dermatology practices on a daily basis. As the journal’s content has evolved, changing the name to The Dermatologist, a title that we believe better reflects the journal’s comprehensive coverage of critical issues in dermatology, seems timely.
The Therapeutic Review features, as well as reader favorites like The Dermatologist’s Board Review, The Dermatopathologist, Derm DX, Legal Ease, Coding Solutions, Cosmetic Clinic, Allergen Focus and more will continue to appear in The Dermatologist. New columns and features include a bi-monthly column from the Dermatology Nurses’ Association, which started in January, and a bi-monthly series on the biologic treatment of psoriasis, which begins this month (please click here).
You can still access the journal’s content anywhere, anytime through our multimedia platforms, including a dynamic website and tablet app. Current and archived issues and web-exclusive content will be fully accessible through www.the-dermatologist.com. You can also download our FREE app (The Derm) for your iPad or Android tablet to access full issues of The Dermatologist and supplements in digital format. Also, check out our new Facebook page (facebook.com/TheDermatologist), and like the page so you get updates and news on a daily basis.
Hopefully you find that we do a good job preserving the fundamental strengths of the journal while continuing to change to better meet your needs. Stop by booth 3053 during the Annual Meeting of the AAD to see our new look and new issue.
We look forward to hearing what you think of our new name and what topics you’d like to see covered.
Sincerely,
The Editorial Staff of The Dermatologist
