Drug Attitude Inventory-10 (DAI-10)

How to Score
The DAI-10 scoring ranges from -10 to +10 with a total score >0 indicating a positive attitude toward psychiatric medications and a total score of <0 indicating a negative attitude toward psychiatric medications.
Strengths
- Self-report measure
- Shorter (5-10 minutes) and easier to administer compared to DAI-30
- Translated into several foreign languages
Weaknesses
- Scoring requires some interpretation because “true” may indicate either a positive or negative view about medications
- Physical adverse effects are not assessed
