Video Supplement: Melody Valve Embolization During Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Replacement
Video Supplement to "Melody Valve Embolization During Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Replacement" (Clinical Image).
Video 1. In order to retrieve the embolized valve, a 23 x 45-mm Cristal Balloon (high-pressure, noncompliant balloon catheter) (BALT Extrusion) was partially advanced through the Melody transcatheter pulmonary valve (Medtronic) and subsequently inflated in low atmospheres. The embolized valve was gradually pulled back inside the Cheatham-Platinum stent (NuMed). Without deflating the balloon (in order to prevent a second embolization), the Cristal Balloon was fully inflated.
