Drugmaker Announces Collaboration with German, Danish Cancer Groups
Oncology Venture A/S recently announced a strategic collaboration with the German-based Nord-Ostdeutsche Gesellschaft für Gynäkologische Onkologie (NOGGO) and the Danish Breast Cancer Corporative Group to accelerate the inclusion of patients into clinical trials targeting women’s cancers.
The cancer cooperative group NOGGO includes more than 700 women’s health professionals in Germany, while the Danish Breast Cancer Cooperative Group organizes hospitals in Denmark that treat patients with breast cancer.
The collaboration will provide patients with opportunities for individualized investigational treatments. Oncology Venture’s drug response prediction technology will help guide providers in selecting the most appropriate precision drug candidates for patients.
Oncology Venture’s collaboration with NOGGO includes the establishment of four clinical sites in Germany where patients can participate in Oncology Venture trials testing 2X-121 (a PARP inhibitor) and Irofulven for ovarian cancer; and LiPlaCis, 2X-121 (PARP inhibitor), and 2X-111 (liposomal anthracycline) for breast cancer. Oncology Venture has also established a fully operational laboratory at Charité University Hospital in Berlin.
