What to Expect at the 2026 NANETS Multidisciplinary NET Medical Symposium

The North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS) will convene its 2026 Multidisciplinary NET Medical Symposium November 5–7 at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bringing together clinicians, researchers, and other members of the neuroendocrine tumor (NET) community, the three-day meeting will explore emerging science and its implications for multidisciplinary patient care. The program combines research presentations, expert discussions, and case-based learning, with topics spanning treatment selection, radioligand therapy, survivorship, and artificial intelligence.

A featured presentation, “NET Year in Review,” will offer an opportunity to put recent developments into perspective. Arvind N. Dasari, MD, MS, will review influential research and clinical advances from the past year, helping frame the evidence and questions explored throughout the symposium. Other opening-day discussions will examine radioligand therapy versus surgical debulking for bulky, low-grade NETs and approaches to understanding neuroendocrine neoplasms beyond morphological classification.

Nuclear medicine will be a prominent focus. A joint NANETS/Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging session will address alpha- versus beta-emitting peptide receptor radionuclide therapy, toxicity considerations, clinical trial updates, and treatment in specialized populations. Featured oral abstracts will examine retreatment with lutetium-177 dotatate, therapy-related myeloid neoplasms after radioligand therapy, and a CABINET trial subgroup analysis of cabozantinib by hormone functional status. These presentations will give attendees opportunities to assess emerging evidence alongside practical treatment questions.

The keynote presentation will feature Halfdan Sorbye, MD, discussing emerging data on the management of early-stage and advanced extrapulmonary high-grade neuroendocrine neoplasms. The session will explore evolving treatment strategies and research directions in this challenging disease setting.

Beyond antitumor treatment, the program will address how to help patients live better throughout their care. A dedicated session will cover patient-reported outcomes, palliative care integration, nutrition, and survivorship. Additional discussions will explore artificial intelligence in NET imaging and complex management decisions, including liver transplantation and treatment sequencing for pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma. An interactive tumor board on oligometastatic disease will bring multiple specialties together to consider real-world cases.

Poster sessions, networking events, and live NETCast recordings will provide additional opportunities to exchange ideas and connect with colleagues. Across its scientific and educational offerings, the symposium will emphasize collaboration and the application of emerging evidence to the care of patients with NETs.
